Our journey to Detroit began in 2012. Then, we knew nothing of the city and nothing of the ministry, we were unprepared and had no plans to move anywhere. Still, God planted Detroit as a seed in our hearts and over time we changed. We added to our family, learned and matured, and we grew spiritually as our priorities re-ordered. Our life became more wholly His as we surrendered and our purpose became clear and simple: to know God and make Him known. Since arriving in 2022, our aim is unchanged and our strategy is nothing more than following the voice and leading of His Spirit and aiming to walk in the joy of knowing Him, by doing things with Him. We feel made for this city, for this time, to add what we can to what He’s already doing here. In Metro Detroit there are many who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus – areas considered “unreached” with the Gospel. Our heart is drawn specifically to these areas. The people are beautiful, wonderful and diverse. We feel honored to live here. We believe that person by person, house by house, from one neighborhood to the next, many will find Christ and come to know Him. We’re blessed to play our part in His Kingdom in Metro Detroit and are humbled to partner with what God is doing and will do in this city.
